Lead Work Services

Precision-fitted leadwork is the primary defense against water penetration around chimneys, valleys, parapets, and roof junctions. We shape and dress lead to strict Lead Sheet Association standards for long-lasting weather protection.

When You Need Lead Work Services

Cracked, slipped, or sagging lead flashings around chimneys or dormer windows. Water leaking into the property at roof valleys or wall abutment junctions. White powdery corrosion or cracking visible on ageing lead surfaces. Outdated or degraded mortar fillets being used instead of proper stepped lead flashings.

How We Do It

We remove failing leadwork and clean out masonry joints where new flashings will be inserted. We select the appropriate code of lead for the specific application to accommodate thermal movement. We dress, boss, and secure the lead into place with correct laps and lead clips. We apply patination oil to protect the new lead surface and ensure a neat finish.

What to Expect

Most lead flashing and valley replacements are completed within 1 to 2 days depending on the scale of the roof.

Lead Work Services FAQs

Lead is exceptionally malleable, durable, and completely waterproof, making it the ideal material for sealing complex joints where different roof planes meet masonry.
We use Code 4 through Code 6 lead depending on whether the application is for standard flashings, gutters, or flat roof bays, adhering strictly to industry guidelines.
Minor splits can sometimes be patched with specialized lead sealant, but full replacement is usually recommended when lead has thinned or cracked due to age.
All of our lead installations are backed by our 10-year workmanship guarantee.
